How are you, Rawkstars?!
I'm Kit Thomas (they/she), a Kanien’kehá:ka (Mohawk) multidisciplinary artist from Akwesasne Mohawk Territory, Wolf Clan.
I work across painting, mixed media, illustration, digital art, workshops, public speaking, and the occasional project that doesn't fit neatly into a box. I'm probably best known for incorporating bingo cards into my artwork, turning everyday materials into colourful pieces that tell stories about community, identity, and the people who inspire me.
My work has been shown across Canada and the United States, and I've had the opportunity to collaborate with organizations, galleries, schools, museums, and community groups along the way.
Outside the studio, I also perform internationally as drag king Hunter Down. Whether I'm creating artwork, speaking at an event, teaching a workshop, or stepping on stage, I love bringing people together through creativity, conversation, and a little bit of humour.

Hands-on art workshops & real conversations
My main workshop right now is “Calling Our Numbers”. It’s mixed media using bingo cards. It’s about slowing down, getting grounded, and creating something meaningful from everyday materials.

I have been performing drag for 15 years, starting my journey in Charlotte, NC. My most recent show took place in Cornwall, Ontario. Throughout my career, I have collaborated with various pride committees and organizations, participating in events ranging from "drag workshops" to "drag time story time Hunter is proud to be the first two-spirit Mohawk Drag King.
